Max fell into our laps. We were not looking for another dog and in fact, have dog sat friend’s dogs and said 3 dogs is a lot of work! Haha!

One weekend I get a text from my longtime groomer, Joseph, that someone brought in a poodle that looks just like Twinkie but never came to pick him up! I helped out with calling the phone # of the owner and it was disconnected. We continued to try to reach them while I fostered, but after 2 weeks figured that Max was abandoned. In the meantime, Twinkie and Max instantly had a connection and are kindred spirits. At this time Nixon was becoming older and less playful and Twinkie still had a lot of energy, so Twinkie has her new playmate! Currently, Max wears Twinkie out and still has a bunch of energy ;)

Even though we weren’t looking for another dog in our lives, Max came into our lives. The dogs have now out numbered us humans. We love them all and have learned to give them each their own quality time with each of us. In a way, Max’s personality seems most like our first dog Richy and sometimes I wonder if he’s there somehow? Maximus is my therapy dog. I can bring him anywhere and he’s chill.
